VLC does not support encrypted commercial Blu-Ray discs, it also as yet does not fully support Blu-Ray menus. (VLC does support normal DVD menus.)
MacGo Blu-Ray Player is the original and perhaps best known Blu-Ray Player for Mac, it does support playing encrypted commercial Blu-Ray discs but still last I checked does not support Blu-Ray menus. I am also dubious about their claims of supporting playing audio formats like Dolby True-HD as these high-end lossless audio formats are not supported by OS X, it maybe their claim is based on automatically converting these down to lower older formats like Dolby DTS.
There are now other Blu-Ray players for the Mac, several of them however appear to be blatant rip offs of the original MacGo Blu-Ray software. One that is worth looking at is http://www.dvdfab.cn/mac-blu-ray-player.htm the paid for version of this does support Blu-Ray menus although this is not yet perfect, still it is better than no support at all.
